#[tantek]Those are all reasonable observations. Yes there's a very strong desire with mf2 to reduce or eliminate such vocab specific rules hence the may etc to provide an option for implementations and see if they use it. If they don't then we can adjust the spec accordingly

#[aciccarello]The use case I see for metaformats is citing another page e.g. for bookmarks/likes. So I would only use metaformats as a fallback option.

#GWGI just was examining an issue where the summary extracted from the metaformats was completely different than the microformats one. .
