# [jgmac1106] [johnjohnston] check with [pfefferle] and the open issues with SemPress plus you have the actual skill to help out once you poke around the templates. I keep testing accoutns aof all three themes if you want to compare
# [jgmac1106] If you do improve the templates for better Twitter syndication file a PR

# [johnjohnston] Skills I wish i had. I am trying to understand how to control the content of the tweet sent to twitter via bridgy when I reply to a tweet. As the tweet I reply to is included (by post_kinds?) in the tweet, it can be the text that appear on twitter via bridgy, with my actual reply truncated. I’d like to figure out how to keep the link, quote etc. on my post but just send the content I’ve added as a reply to twitter.

# [jgmac1106] [johnjohnston] as an FYI avoid threads in Slack they don't work well for IRC users. Based on the plugin you have written you can probably figure it out
# [jgmac1106] @gwg as well migjt be able to explain but the difference is in each theme
# [jgmac1106] When I reply to a tweet I make sure to get the link from the Tweet. I have to go back thro3notes but I think it is the quote post kind POSSEd to Twitter
# [jgmac1106] [johnjohnston] after the trouble I am having and after almost three months of trying to get all the WordPress pieces working I think it's time to walk away. I can't get webmentions working, and my blog is so fundamentally broken in ways no one knows why or how to fix

# doubleloop micropub is working for me using the wordpress plugin
# doubleloop Zegnat pointed me to this that I needed to do: https://wordpress.org/plugins/micropub/#faq-header
# doubleloop Oh I see, it's something specific for [jgmac1106] ?
# doubleloop I don't know enough about how everything works, but happy to try and help, if there is any way that I can! (e.g. testing something, or just providing a data point for where it is working)
# doubleloop I'm using the plugins installed via Wordpress, not via the github repo
# doubleloop Worth me trying the version from github?

# doubleloop the /vendor files?
# doubleloop It's a pain github doesn't include submodules when you download the zip of the repo
# doubleloop That's the recommended way to install a plugin from github, right? Get the zip and install via the WP interface?
# doubleloop Or can I just clone it

# doubleloop For micropub, on the master branch, it still is marked as 1.4.3 - it's the right one? (https://github.com/indieweb/wordpress-micropub/blob/master/micropub.php)
# doubleloop I've updated from the zip of the master branch - endpoint is now: https://doubleloop.net/wp-json/micropub/1.0/endpoint (it was ?micropub=endpoint before)
# doubleloop Tried a simple note from Quill and it has worked
# GWG Share any comments https://github.com/indieweb/wordpress-micropub/issues/150
# doubleloop Was also able to post from micropublish, but I get configuration errors from Indigenous for Android (have added to the github issue)
