#sknebeldoes the wordpress websub hub send notifications only for the Atom/RSS feeds, or also for feed pages etc? if the latter, what does the notification payload look like?
#GWGKhurt, did you catch my explanation of how to do rel feed on a menu?

#[Serena]dang it, my hosting service updated my WordPress
#[Serena]I'm guessing that means I lose Post Kinds?
#sknebelUnless I misunderstood it, you can install a plugin and get the old editor with the plugin integrations back?
#petermolnar[Serena]: can you install plugins? If yes, install "Classic Editor", and, in setting, set it to completely disable Gutenberg

#[kimberlyhirsh]Good morning, IndieWeb! I did update to 5.0 but also installed Classic Editor... Seems like I'm in good shape. Will check back in after I actually publish a post...

#[Khurt]I upgraded one of three web sites I manage but installed the Classic Editor. I am already looking for alternatives to WordPress just in case Gutenberg remains unusable to me.
#[Khurt]Yes. But the plugin is a temporary “workaround”. No support past 2022.
#[Khurt]Off to meet a colleague for lunch and discuss how much we dislike the new web.

#snarfedanyone other than grantcodes (and GWG :P) upgraded to wordpress 5? any thoughts?
#snarfedi know about gutenberg and blocks but have no opinions or experience yet
#[jgmac1106]I did in all my online classes. Old wine new bottle
#[jgmac1106]None of those are with an IndieWeb theme. Just WP out of box

#[pfefferle][snarfed] me... a bit fragile at first, but after clearing all caches and deactivate and reactivate all plugins it seems to work solid and I love the new editor...
#[Khurt]I upgrade yesterday. Also installed the Classic Editor plugin.

#[grantcodes]Re mf2 and blocks, I think it's still going to difficult, if not worse now. You could make blocks that have good mf2 markup but I can't see that being very useful tbh
#[grantcodes]I'm not sure for example if with mf2 you can have a containing element which would be parsed as the content property but have content then a photo (to be parsed as a photo property) then more content then a video (again video property) and then more content again. That is the power of Gutenberg but not sure if that works with mf2
