[snarfed] looks like your avatar picture has u-photo on it, which means that it’s one of the primary (like featured) photos for the post. you’ll either want to remove that u-photo or wrap your avatar, name, etc in h-card

reed when I'm composing a new post, I see the admin box with options "Syndicate To" and checkboxes Twitter via Bridgy... I expect as a user that if I tick the box, the post gets syndicated via bridgy without extra effort
