TheFerridge How far would you say webmentions are from an implementation which is noob-friendly? Because at least in my present experience, it's a pain even within the relative ease of wordpress

[jgmac1106] That is one thing to note TheFerridge, webmentions will always work best when your theme has native microformats2 support
#
GWG TheFerridge: I think it is easy. All you do is install and activate.
#
[jgmac1106] so if you use SemPress or GWG's theme it works out of box
#
GWG Sending them will work better. Receiving them depends on the supporting site.

TheFerridge so you're saying it's just a matter of the adoption of microformats2?

[jgmac1106] ......if you want to use your own theme and have them display nicely....that works

[jgmac1106] Yes but "just a matter of the adoption of microformats2" is really hard with WordPress best bet is to use an approved theme

I shared it with colleagues, and today one of them pinged in a GitHub PR with a style modification to improve the contrast of code blocks in our online material :)

rayna I have a question regarding Etherpad. Does it crash often? Have you/are you looking into alternatives given that it is no longer supported?

I for example had on again and off again support with Hueman...there is a microformats plugin but we do not usually recommend it anymore and I am not sure if gwg still mantains it...
