I've got may Facebook email notifications turned back on in preparation for some near term testing...
#
chrisaldrich
apparently I haven't posted to FB since last July....
#
chrisaldrich
my last post was on July 31 just prior to their turning off their API for backfeed....
#
chrisaldrich
While searching Facebook for email notifications, I only found posts and information for turning them off... nothing about turning them back on at all...

[fluffy] joined the channel
#
[fluffy]
Personally I think RSS/Atom are a better mechanism for syndicating content than mf2 and I’d hate to see it disappear.
#
[fluffy]
and to me they’re Just Another Template and way easier to parse and verify and just work with in general.
#
[fluffy]
Every time I go down the rabbit hole of trying to work with mf2 on something, even using an extant parser lib, I keep on running into all sorts of weirdness with data consistency.

#

yeah it’s twitter’s most ridiculous concession to the tweet length limit.
#
[fluffy]
split your tweets up into 280-character chunks, then have some Content Monetization thread-unroller re-host it for you because people don’t want to read it in 280-character chunks

It gets a bit lost if you want to add to it later, and the "tweet" button should be at the bottom, not the top, but yes, it's broadly good.
#
aaronpk
the tweet button is at the bottom
#
aaronpk
and you can compose the whole thread first without actually tweeting anything
#
aaronpk
you can even insert stuff in between, or delete tweets while writing
#
[kevinmarks786]
Yes, that's a different goal. It's close to the buzzfeed editor.
#
[jgmac1106]
Ah... Didn't know @kevinmarks would be right there
#

Twitter gives you the sentence level comments that medium used to have.

I publish a note...then I publish a second note as a reply and hit "storm" button this adds a rel=prev to second post and then rel=next to first... Then any subsequent post gets a rel=prev and next... Then you hit stop
#

Go to first post see all webmentions in thread. Go to Second see x-1

You can kinda do this in Known or WP... If you Repy only to the syndicated tweets but not url...too many clicks... Takes me seven

what is tweetstorming
#
Loqi
tweetstorm is a series of tweets, each replying to the previous, often each numbered so the sequence is clear, as a method of expressing a longer series of related thoughts as a single thread on Twitter https://indieweb.org/tweetstorming

what is not clear to me from this UI is whether this is saved as a draft anywhere, or if this whole thing goes boom if my browser crashes
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "not clear to me from this UI is whether this is saved as a draft anywhere, or if this whole thing goes boom if my browser crashes" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "not clear to me from this UI is whether this is saved as a draft anywhere, or if this whole thing goes boom if my browser crashes is ____", a sentence describing the term)
