[chrisaldrich]I've seen it more on places like Instagram which just give you the one link in your bio, so people put in a linktree link to give people some extra options, particularly when they say the ever-popular Instagram phrase "see link in bio".
[tw2113_Slack_][chrisaldrich] company i work for technically has a plugin for WP where you can change the URL a link goes to from the WP side instead of the Instagram side. more 1:1 than Linktree, but similar idea
[chrisaldrich]An IndieWeb version of linktree would surely be something more like a hub/wheel design or pyramid maybe with one's personal website address either in the middle or on top (respectively).
@coryodaniel@EmilyKager Twitter should buy Grammarly and use it to make a “you sound like a shithead” message pop up _before_ hitting send. Maybe even block it all together. We can do that with AI can’t we or can we just drive cars and shit? (twitter.com/_/status/1374431338661515275)
[tantek]I think we've danced around it a bit but I don't remember a specific page. I think we referenced the GMail drunk email filter, perhaps drunk txting, middle of the night message sending
Loqi[[tantek]] from #indieweb-meta I feel the whole "old saw that letters written when you're mad should stay in the drawer for a week before sending. Then in the sober morning days later, you realize that you shouldn't send them." is something that could be built ...
Loqi[[tantek]] [chrisaldrich] my response was: jacky, we need that for tweets that take ~1 day to develop. would likely eliminate nearly all the toxic snark
[chrisaldrich]tl;dr: Dispo lets you take photos today, but you can't edit or change them and they don't post for viewing until 9am the next day for consumption, so you lose the immediacy for a more "slow" social experience.
