petermolnarI found an alternative to IFTTT, called Zapier, and, unlike IFTTT, it can do a chain of events instead of if-then, plus it can retrieve things like tweet url - it's a very nice tool to build syndication with. Read RSS, post to [set of social networks], do a webhook call in the end with the syndication urls payload, et viola.
petermolnaroh. there's a catch, which I didn't get: free doesn't include multi-step automations, so no callback in the free account, and the next level is 25$/m, which is way more, than I'm willing to pay for :/
LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "calm technology" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "calm technology is ____", a sentence describing the term)
[Vincent]I’m using Zapier in the short term to plug holes in my indieweb implementation. By 2 events, it means “any 2 thing in a chain” So in your example “Init -> thing”.
[Vincent]I’ve found Zapier to be much better technically than IFTTT for many things, but it does come with a price if you use more than 2 step Zaps. If you only want multi-step zaps for a short period you can sign up and cancel easily enough. I did that in the first month and they refunded me all my cash, no questions asked 🙂

[xavierroy]I use a Goodreads RSS feed as input, retrieve image from feed and post it as featured image and create a new post on my WP blog with other data.
snarfednot sure if i want to still use the webmention trigger for that, though, or if i want to subscribe to sites' atom feeds and automatically deliver when i see a new post
