[snarfed]1bridgy publish URLs are fairly common in posts, they have to be there for bridgy publish to work, and some people can't or don't bother hiding them (eg with empty text)
BinarySaviorthe behavior is dependent on zoom, if the logo in the top left is not exceeding the boundary just zoom out until it does (chromium browser here)
[chrisaldrich]on the brid.gy link in Twitter thing, I'm not seeing the URL visible in [Serena]'s original post (unless she hid it after the fact). I'm not sure how it would be showing up in Twitter... https://www.sleepyowl.ink/2021/09/03/46750/
LoqiWhilst watching the latest episode of #TedLasso I decided to look for the “Roy is sorry for not understanding Keeley” playlist, and guess what? It exists.
If you’re Apple, why wouldn’t actually create the playlist?
I found it cute.
[snarfed]1no Bridgy changes for a while now to the text content possed to twitter etc. when this happens, it's generally from the user's CMS, or them manually, since bridgy requires it to publish.
[chrisaldrich]I will mention that for the cases when it does happen, that [snarfed] might have https://brid.gy/publish/twitter redirect to the main brid.gy page and just use it as free advertising for the service. 😉
[snarfed]1anyway, this happens pretty regularly, i'm not too worried. bridgy does have clear docs and tutorial instructions on how to hide the link, most people find and follow them
[chrisaldrich]The WordPress set up that Syndication Links has for using the checkbox will temporarily return a brid.gy link like that as a placeholder until it receives the Twitter permalink a moment or two later. It would then only show up if they were placing that segment inside the_body without proper mark up/microformats. That doesn't appear to be the case here...
