Really liked the note about "preferred" striking from my vocab. Makes total sense

[jgmac1106] yup, been in our FAQ for a while: https://indieweb.org/pronoun#Why_not_preferred_pronoun
#
[fluffy]
Yeah. In trans spaces some folks talk about having “utility” pronouns based on context, like sometimes I prefer she/her and sometimes they/them and it depends on comfort level more or less
#
[fluffy]
or there’s some folks who are like, they/them for the normies but fae/faer among exclusively trans spaces

Now who wants to share the revenues with me? What I ask is simple: put the same lock on your blog and let's split! We can easily create and #indieweb bundle!

hmm, I wonder why my Publ 0.5.8 post appeared multiple times in the This Week draft
#

oh, dang, looks like I accidentally published it twice under different page IDs

guess I should try cleaning it up
#
[fluffy]
hm,looks like news.indieweb.org doesn’t know how to deal with webmentions from things that are now status 410

guess I’ll just 301 it and hope for the best

aaronpk: how many sites are on that server?
#
aaronpk
um, a lot
#
sebsel
but all IndieWeb related?
#
aaronpk
i've been moving some over to a new server for just community indieweb things
#
aaronpk
I wanted to move everything on *indieweb.org and things like that to their own place
#
aaronpk
and I was going to keep all my projects on this one, like webmention.io and aperture, which I don't consider community-owned
#
sebsel
ah, yeah, so that's the thing that is blocking you from giving other people access to that server?
#
sebsel
I mean especially things like the wiki might be better off by having sysadmins in different timezones, like petermolnar suggested.
#
sebsel
I believe sknebel volunteered too.
#
aaronpk
the new server is in good shape, but the wiki isn't on it yet
#
sebsel
aaronpk++ that's a lot already
#
Loqi
aaronpk has 55 karma in this channel over the last year (200 in all channels)
#
aaronpk
I should probably prioritize the wiki next

happy to help with whatever I can

I don't understand how only the main channel logs aren't logging, it doesn't make sense
#
aaronpk
Oh I bet I know
#
aaronpk
I bet the filesystem turned read only during a write operation and there's some junk in the file that's causing it to fail at that spot in the logs
#
aaronpk
just looked at the file and the new stuff is in it, so it's still logging
#
aaronpk
but displaying the logs is broken. So I can fix that later by cleaning up the file
#
aaronpk
you should even be able to see the error in the file that's on GitHub

1. I demo'd offline support on my site including my "Offline" page instant loading when the network was off, browsing backward through my posts that I happened to have visited earlier, eventually getting to my Offline page when I navigated to a post that wasn't cached. Then lastly I demo'd my offline-first Contact page which will always work quickly regardless of network state since it loads it from cache first
#
[tantek]
2. Dietrich demonstrated IPFS support using a browser-add-on in Brave
#
[tantek]
3 Rabble demonstrated Planetary, an iOS native app that implements the SSB (Secure Scuttlebutt) protocol for peer to peer sharing / posting and it's quite slick, somewhere between a Twitter / Instagram mobile client for reading who you follow and posting. Gave out invites to everyone there to try it out (requires a form of side-loading)
